As part of Eden Roc Resort’s broader commitment to sustainability and community well-being, this October was filled with meaningful initiatives focused on strengthening environmental responsibility, supporting the local community, and raising awareness of social causes.

Charity Initiative for the Rhodes Cancer Association

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Eden Roc’s staff, guests, and partners joined forces in a fundraising initiative to support the Rhodes Cancer Association. Through everyone’s participation, funds were raised to assist the Association’s valuable work within the local community.

Rhodes for Life

Once again Eden Roc proudly participated in the “Rhodes for Life” campaign by selling themed products to raise funds for this year’s cause — the purchase of two medical machines that will support the Oncology Department and the preparation of chemotherapy medications at the General Hospital of Rhodes.

Beach & Underwater Cleanup

Team members from Eden Roc Resort, along with guests and professional divers from the Waterhoppers Diving School, collaborated in a beach and underwater cleanup during the final days of the hotel’s season. The initiative focused on removing plastics and waste from the marine ecosystem and surrounding areas, as part of the resort’s ongoing environmental commitment.

Adoption of Forest Area near Gadoura Dam

As part of its expanding corporate social responsibility program, Eden Roc Resort 5* adopted a 50-acre burned forest area near Gadoura Dam through the initiative of the organization “For Nature.” The project includes the planting of at least 150 trees and local herbs, as well as mild maintenance of native vegetation over a ten-year period. This long-term action reflects the resort’s ongoing commitment to the restoration and protection of Rhodes’ natural environment.

The October initiatives form part of Eden Roc Resort’s broader social and environmental responsibility program, reaffirming the resort’s dedication to investing in actions that promote sustainable development and strengthen the local community.
